April 26, 2005: Greyscale Racing is founded with the sole purpose to improve, develop, and promote the micro RC hobby. We combine established practices and experience with creativity and novel techniques to create distinct works of beauty, speed, and precision…and then start anew and make them even better.

In the past four years we have worked on pretty much every existing platform from 1/36 to 1/14, and even created a few of our own. Show or go, race or drift, on or off road, it doesn’t matter; our member base is as diverse as the entire micro RC community. Everyone has their own area of expertise, may it be motor winding, electronics, bodyworking, fabrication, chassis setup or design, racing, etc. Team members capitalize on this advantage, collaborating on projects to improve upon them time after time. Short of the companies that produce RC vehicles, there is no where else in the community where you'll find so many skilled people working on the same projects, and therein lies the difference between GSR and other groups.

From humble Xmods origins to D1 replicas, scratch-built crawlers, brushless Mini-Z’s, and full-blown chassis conversion kits, GSR has grown, matured, and become the standard bearer for the micro RC hobby. Our passion for this hobby, to improve what's existing, to make something new, has brought us to the top in four years and will continue to drive us forward in the future.
